Hi, I’m Tanya! I’m a part time youth mental health worker and a passionate childbirth educator. I have a boho, chilled out vibe, a wicked sense of humour, and I like to stop and smell the salt air at every opportunity. I’ve lived on the Coffs Coast for 10 years and honestly couldn’t think of a better spot to raise my two 'hypnobubs'.
I completed the Hypnobirthing Australia childbirth course when I was pregnant with my first child. Hypnobirthing my two children has led to my passion for improving standards of birth and honouring the sacredness of a birthing woman. In 2019 I became a certified Hypnobirthing Australia Childbirth Practitioner. My goal is to actively change the way we view birth as a society and normalise childbirth through education and action.
I have a Bachelor of Social Science and a special interest in psychology and human behaviour. I want to teach people about the wonderful, positive aspects of pregnancy and childbirth (yes, birth can be joyful!), and help women tap into their power and inner wisdom. I believe in woman-centred care, evidence based practice, and informed consent. Women are the experts in their lives and I aim to give you and your birth partner the skills and confidence to birth without fear, have faith in your abilities, advocate for your preferences, and enjoy the magic of bringing your baby (or babies!) earthside.
If you would like to talk more about your childbirth plans please contact me to discuss upcoming group or individual classes.
